Description

This Japanese style dipping sauce is perfect for adding flavor to various dishes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter (melted, then cooled to warm (not hot))
  • ¾ cup Japanese mayonnaise (Kewpie is recommended)
  • 1 ½ tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon mirin
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons sriracha ( – it’s not spicy, just flavorful)
  • ½ tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ¾ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  1. Add butter to a small microwave-safe bowl and melt about 10-20 seconds. Set aside and cool before starting the next step.
  2. While you wait, measure the next ingredients.
  3. Add in the rest of the ingredients: mayonnaise, ketchup, mirin, rice vinegar, sriracha, sugar, onion powder, garlic powder, and paprika.
  4. Whisk very well until smooth.
  5. Cover and store in the refrigerator for a few hours or overnight for a deeper flavor.
  6. Enjoy!
