Description

Delicious Valentine’s Day cookies loaded with M&Ms, chocolate chips, and sprinkles, perfect for celebrating love!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (cold)
  • 1 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 1/2 cup granulated white sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 TBS cornstarch
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup red, white, and pink M&Ms (plus a few extra to add to the top)
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (plus a few extra to add to the top)
  • 1/2 cup Valentine sprinkles (use more as needed)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with silicone mat or parchment paper, and set aside.
  2. Cut cold butter into slices, and add it into a stand mixer and beat until smooth (a stand mixer with paddle attachment is preferred but not necessary). Add brown and white sugar, beat until smooth; just a minute or two.
  3. Add the eggs, and vanilla extract and beat until just mixed in.
  4. Add the flour, cornstarch, baking soda, baking powder, and salt to the mixture and mix on low speed until just combined.
  5. Add M&Ms and chocolate chips; and fold into the dough until mixed evenly throughout.
  6. Using a large spoon or 1/4 cup cookie scoop, scoop cookie dough. Roll into a ball.
  7. Roll the cookie dough in Valentine sprinkles and sprinkle additional chocolate chips, and M&Ms on the dough.
  8. Set on prepared cookie sheet.
  9. Continue scooping cookies and rolling in Valentine sprinkles, placing 6 cookies per cookie sheet.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven about 8 to 12 minutes, until the sides are lightly golden, and the tops are just set.
  11. Remove the pan from the oven and cool on the baking sheet for 10 minutes. They will keep cooking on the pan. Don’t remove them early or the cookies will break.
  12. Remove to cooling rack for additional cooling as needed.

Notes

  • For best results, use cold butter straight from the refrigerator.
  • Feel free to adjust the amount of sprinkles for decoration.
