Description

A delicious chocolate cake made with Cherry Dr Pepper, topped with cherry pie filling and whipped cream.


Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate fudge cake mix
  • 1 can (12 oz) Cherry Dr Pepper
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 can cherry pie filling
  • 1 cup chocolate frosting or ganache
  • 1 cup whipped topping or cherry buttercream
  • Maraschino cherries (with stems, for topping)
  • Chocolate shavings (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Mix the cake mix, Cherry Dr Pepper, oil, and eggs in a large bowl until smooth.
  2. Pour into a greased 9×13″ baking dish and bake at 350°F for 30–35 minutes.
  3. While warm, poke holes in the cake and spoon cherry pie filling over the top.
  4. Once cooled, spread chocolate frosting or ganache over the cake.
  5. Top with whipped topping, maraschino cherries, and chocolate shavings.
