Description
A delicious chocolate cake made with Cherry Dr Pepper, topped with cherry pie filling and whipped cream.

- 1 box chocolate fudge cake mix
- 1 can (12 oz) Cherry Dr Pepper
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- 1 can cherry pie filling
- 1 cup chocolate frosting or ganache
- 1 cup whipped topping or cherry buttercream
- Maraschino cherries (with stems, for topping)
- Chocolate shavings (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Mix the cake mix, Cherry Dr Pepper, oil, and eggs in a large bowl until smooth.
- Pour into a greased 9×13″ baking dish and bake at 350°F for 30–35 minutes.
- While warm, poke holes in the cake and spoon cherry pie filling over the top.
- Once cooled, spread chocolate frosting or ganache over the cake.
- Top with whipped topping, maraschino cherries, and chocolate shavings.
Notes
- Ensure the cake is completely cooled before adding the frosting to prevent melting.
- Optional: Serve with a side of ice cream.
