Delicious homemade cinnamon rolls topped with a creamy glaze.
Ingredients

- 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ½ tsp ground ginger
- ¼ tsp nutmeg
- ¼ tsp cloves
- ¾ cup warm milk
- ¼ cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 egg (large)
- ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
- ½ cup brown sugar (packed)
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- ¼ tsp ground ginger
- ¼ tsp nutmeg
- 4 oz cream cheese (softened)
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2–3 tbsp milk or cream
Instructions
- Activate yeast with warm milk and sugar.
- Mix dry ingredients for dough and combine with butter, egg, and yeast mixture.
- Knead dough until smooth and elastic.
- Let dough rise until doubled in size.
- Prepare filling by mixing butter, brown sugar, and spices.
- Roll dough into rectangle, spread filling evenly.
- Roll dough into log and slice into rolls.
- Let rolls rise until puffy.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25–30 minutes.
- Beat glaze ingredients until smooth.
- Drizzle glaze over warm rolls and serve.
Notes
- Ensure the milk is warm, not hot, to activate the yeast properly.
- Freshly grated nutmeg gives a better flavor compared to pre-ground.
