Description
Delicious Spam sushi rolls made with marinated Spam and sticky rice wrapped in nori.
Ingredients

- 12 oz can Spam
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 4 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 4 sheets roasted sushi nori, cut in half
- 3 cups medium grain sticky rice or sushi rice (cooked)
- to taste Furikake rice seasoning (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat a large skillet over medium heat.
- Slice the Spam into 8 equal pieces.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, and sesame oil.
- Marinate the sliced Spam in the mixture for about 5 minutes.
- Place the marinated Spam in the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side until crispy.
- Prepare the sticky rice according to package instructions.
- Lay a sheet of nori on a clean surface and place about 1/2 cup of rice on one half, pressing it down.
- Add a slice of cooked Spam on top of the rice.
- Roll the nori over the rice and Spam, and use plastic wrap to maintain the shape.
- Slice into bite-sized pieces and serve.
Notes
- Furikake seasoning adds extra flavor but is optional.
- Be sure to press the rice down firmly for better rolling.
