Slow Cooker Barbecue Chicken

Description

A delicious and easy recipe for shredded barbecue chicken cooked in a slow cooker.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breast
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce (see note 1)
  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Place chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together barbecue sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, smoked paprika, and garlic powder. Pour this mixture over the chicken breasts.
  3. Cover and cook on high for 3-4 hours or on low for 6-7 hours.
  4. Shred the chicken with two forks, then toss with barbecue sauce.
