Description
A fresh and delicious Caprese salad featuring cherry tomatoes, marinated mozzarella, and basil.
Ingredients

- 1 pound cherry tomatoes
- 12 to 16 ounces marinated mozzarella balls (aka bocconcini or ciliegine)
- 8 fresh basil leaves (or to taste)
- to taste Kosher salt
- to taste ground black pepper
- to taste balsamic glaze or reduction (optional)
Instructions
- Rinse tomatoes and basil. Cut about half of the cherry tomatoes in half and place in a serving bowl.
- Cut about half of the cherry tomatoes in half and place in a serving bowl. Add mozzarella balls (marinade and all, drain lightly if desired) and stir gently until well combined.
- Tear basil leaves and place them over the top. Sprinkle with Kosher salt and fresh ground pepper to taste.
- Drizzle with balsamic glaze (optional). Serve at room temperature.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of basil and seasoning based on personal preference.
- For extra flavor, consider letting the salad sit for a few minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
