Description

This Easy Boursin Mac and Cheese is a creamy, cheesy dish that’s perfect for a comforting meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz elbow macaroni
  • 5 oz Boursin garlic and herb cheese
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta – Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the elbow macaroni according to the package instructions. Stir occasionally so the pasta doesn’t stick together. Once cooked, drain the pasta and set it aside.
  2. Start the creamy base – In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Sprinkle in the flour and whisk continuously for about one minute. This forms a smooth roux that helps thicken the sauce.
  3. Add the milk – Slowly pour in the milk while whisking constantly. Continue cooking for several minutes until the mixture becomes slightly thick and silky.
  4. Melt the cheeses – Add the Boursin cheese, cheddar cheese, Parmesan, and mozzarella to the sauce. Stir gently until everything melts into a smooth and creamy mixture. The Boursin cheese will infuse the sauce with its signature garlic and herb flavor.
  5. Season the sauce – Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  6. Combine pasta and sauce – Add the cooked macaroni to the sauce and gently stir until every piece of pasta is coated in the rich cheese mixture.
  7. Serve warm – Serve the Easy Boursin Mac and Cheese immediately while it’s hot and creamy. The sauce thickens beautifully as it cools, creating the ultimate comforting bowl of pasta.
