Description

Delicious honey garlic chicken baked to perfection.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts
  • ½ teaspoon Sesame Seeds (for serving)
  • 2 Green Onions (sliced for serving)
  • 1 cup Low Sodium Soy Sauce
  • ½ cup water
  • ¼ cup rice vinegar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • ½ teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 2 Tablespoons cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F and spray a 9X13 baking dish with a non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the baking dish.
  3. Whisk together the sauce ingredients in a small saucepan.
  4. Heat over medium high heat and bring the mixture to a boil. Cook and stir for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  5. Remove from heat and pour half of the sauce over the chicken in the baking dish. Reserve the remaining sauce.
  6. Use tongs to carefully toss the chicken in the sauce into the pan to coat it evenly. Cover the pan with foil.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature of 165 degrees F).
  8. Drain off any excess liquid from the pan and pour the remaining sauce over the chicken.
  9. Serve topped with the sesame seeds and green onions. Enjoy!
